Fall TV Preview

Chuck Exclusive: Craig Kilborn Spies Villainous Season Premiere Guest Spot

In a rare acting detour, talk show host Craig Kilborn has signed on to guest star on NBC’s Chuck, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively.

The former Late Late Show frontman will appear in the Oct. 21 season premiere as Roger Bale, a charming yet conniving investor who’s stolen money from some of the world’s most dangerous people.

The twist? Mr. Bale is rather dangerous himself!

It’s probably safe to say Kilborn will have a run-in with the episode’s other Big Bad, erstwhile Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill.

Kilborn, whose handful of acting roles include playing Ellen Pompeo’s philandering beau in Old School, recently inked a deal with ABC Studios to star in and produce a sitcom.

  • Eh, I don’t know on this one. Was highly unimpressed when Rob Riggle was on last year. If he does well, great, but I’m not holding out hope for an Emmy-winning performance.

  • I hate Craig Kilborn. he is NOT an actor. He’s the former anchor for Sports Center. My hope for this season is dwindling by the second.

    • Craig Kilborn did a good job as the bad boyfriend in Old School, and it’s only for one episode. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. I’ll hold out judgement until I see footage or the pilot.

  • At least on this set, Kilborn won’t be towering over the rest of the cast. Could be fun, he can be a funny guy.
