Psych Exclusive: Greg Grunberg, Lindsay Sloane to Headline Bachelorette Spoof

Psych‘s casting peeps must’ve read my mind.

The USA Network comedy has tapped two of my favorite actors — Heroes‘ Greg Grunberg and Weeds‘ Lindsay Sloane — to guest star in an upcoming episode that pokes fun at the reality dating genre.

Spoiler Alert: Will Psych End With a Wedding?!

Sloane will play Melinda, the coveted single gal on Missed Connections, a Bachelorette-esque relationship show where eligible men from her past compete to win her affections.

Grunberg, meanwhile, co-stars as Dimitri, the show’s ratings-obsessed executive producer who Shawn (James Roday) believes may be the culprit behind an attack on one of the contestants.

And as first scooped in this week’s Ask Ausiello, WWE Superstar Mike ‘The Miz’ Mizanin rounds out the guest cast as Mario, a hotheaded, ‘bros before hoes’-type contestant.

The episode is slated to air midway through the show’s long-awaited sixth season, which kicks off in October.

- LOVE THIS. I don’t understand why she didn’t become more popular. She was amazing on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and her work on Grosse Pointe was criminally underrated.

And The Miz has been AWWWWWESOMMMME since Real World/Road Rules Challenge as far as I’m concerned.

Does Evan Bourne get to do tv too? He’s a freakin cutie.

Pych fans should check out Pineappleradio.net for all sorts of things Psych-related. The founder was singled out at Comic-Con by Dule Hill in both panels he was on. Cool site and fun podcasts (including an interview with James Roday).
