  1. David says:

Yay for all the Friday Night Lights & Parks and Recreation love!

    • Kal_Gr says:

Best Shows on Tv. Fnl They both deserve to win on best comedy/drama and lead categories

      • Becky says:

Sorry folks, but you’d be wrong. The shows that deserve love did not get them.

        Zachary Levi for Chuck
        Matt Bomer for White Collar
        Tim DeKay for White Collar
        Nathan Fillion for Castle
        White Collar

        • NickC says:

          Sorry Becky….you’re wrong….;)

          • Smidnite says:

No she’s not. :-( If FNL and/or Parks and Recreation deserved half the attention that the critics gave them; they’d have the viewership of White Collar, Castle, Covert Affairs…..

At least we never have to worry about FNL again after this year ;-D

          • Michael says:

Smidnite…that’s a load of crap and you know it. There are many works of art, past and present, that didn’t get the recognition that they deserved but were later lauded by critics and the public. To make a statement such as yours, it seems that you have zero knowledge of the world around you. One could merely argue that people like crap(White Collar, Castle, Covert Affairs) and are befuddled by smart shows like FNL. I won’t argue that because we all have the right to enjoy what we enjoy without some ahole crapping all over our tastes in TV. It’s sad that you had to worry about FNL at all. If you don’t watch or like the show, why the eff do you give two sh1ts? Jerkoff.

          • Doktorzeep says:

            Umm..no. You’re wrong nick…

          • GLEEK43 says:

        • Karen says:

Becky – Amen to all the above. Also applies to Covert Affairs, Royal Pains, Warehouse 13, and Eureka. Go USA and Syfy!

          • Julie says:

Your opinion is correct! It’s not like there have ever been superior shows that haven’t gotten viewers. According to you, popularity is the real prize. Well done! That makes absolutely no sense. Clearly you’ve never seen The Wire, Arrested Development, Community, etc. All of those USA shows are fine, really, but they are in no way special or deserving of accolades.

        • ryan says:

what? white collar for best drama series? come on, its pop corn tv

          • Jana says:

Well I think you are both kinda right. I mean.. I love White Collar but it doesn’t deserve to win an emmy. (No offense, I love this show) However I think that Glee doesn’t deserve to be nominated for Outstanding Comedy as it is just as well “Popcorn TV” (as ryan called it) and seriously not funny at all.
So I don’t get why they don’t nominate community as it is both funny and intelligent.
Also as I have stated in a previous post already I don’t think they should keep nominating the same shows over and over (30 Rock anyone?). I mean the show is good and all but oh well. Anyway I think the Academy seems to take the easy way and just keep nominating the same shows again :P.

          • Becky says:

You clearly never saw Point Blank or Out of the Box. Those are just a few of the amazing dramatic moments on White Collar.

        • Roberta M says:

I totally agree. White Collar is excellent. I like all the characters, especially Tim DeKay.

    • Daniel says:

      Where’s Nikita?

  2. Sally says:

Glee got a nom over Community again? What a travesty considering the horrible 2nd season.

    • Paige says:

I was just thinking the same thing! How does Glee get a nom over the brilliant Community? It’s injustice I tell you.

      • Sam says:

The real travesty is 4 modern family noms for supporting actor without one nomination for community, parks, 30 Rock or even the office (which is largely an ensemble cast anyway, so for not one of them to get nominated and yet the show get nominated is ludicrous)

        • Meg says:

Seriously. I don’t watch Modern Family, but 4 out of 6 nominations go to them? Certainly there were other actors more deserving.

          • jenna says:

i’m a huge modern family fan and I too this it was a bit overdone to have 4/6. Especially since there are so many deserving in that category. Plus John Cryer…..seriously?

        • Mike says:

The problem is that Modern Family is an ensemble cast. Eric Stonestreet could have been up there with the Best Actors. The problem seems to be that they all have to go into the supporting actors for a comedy. This probably means that they could offset each other and none of them will win. I believe that Eric Stonestreet deserves the Emmy.

      • Jenny says:

As a Glee fan I was surprised to see the comedy nomination. Agree Community should have been there instead.

        • Josh says:

I think they nominate Glee so Glee fans will tune in. It’s a play for ratings.

        • Nad says:

I have to agree! I love Glee but when I want to laugh out loud to a witty show it’s Community. That show consistently makes fun of itself and other comedies and i love them for that!

    • Matt says:

Agreed. I am a Glee fan, but I’m bordering on quitting cause of the horrible 2nd season. I think there was only one Community ep I didn’t laugh my butt off at this year.

I truly think it is a popularity contest.. notice there is an overwhelming love for Nielsen winners and premium cable shows.

      • Jenny says:

Glee isn’t really (especially season 2) a comedy. They need to create a new category of dramady (drama/comedy). It has moments where you laugh and moments that are dramatic. In fact I think some of Glee’s best moments of the past season were dramatic ones (bullying story, Sue’s sister’s funeral, Finn/Rachel breakup, Furt episode).

    • ThereasonsY says:

It’s simple, a lot of time the voters don’t watch the shows and go off of buzz. I mean Glee HAS to be good right? It won all of those awards last year and this year and is such a buzzed about show. What is this Community, Cougar Town, or HIMYM that you speak of?

      • cibele says:

Glee is not good. Period. Talk about buzz or your lack of knowledge of other shows is irrelevant.

        • Dick Whitman says:

          He was being sarcastic.

        • Gia says:

          @cibele here’s a new word for you.

sarcasm = The use of irony to mock or convey contempt

Now that you know what this word means, hopefully you will be able to recognize it’s use (like in ThereasonsY’s post) in the future.

  3. Cortexifan says:

    • KMG says:

OK, I get it, Fringe has a kind of cult following, and it didn’t get the kind of media-blitz buzz that Game of Thrones had all season, so I didn’t expect it to get a Best Drama nod. But how could anyone leave John Noble out of the list of nominees for Best Supporting Actor?!?!?!? Unbelievable.

    • Elizabeth says:

Ok, so the committee found FX this year and saw Justified, super, I like that show.

    • Robert D says:

This is a joke not only did John Noble get screwed but so did Anna Torv! Nice job EMMYS…… NOT

    • Give him the keys and save the girl says:

How is it that Anna Torv isn’t nominated either?? Her performance in “Marionette” broke my heart and for me, is one of the best episodes of the season.

      • Mike says:

Well, unfortunately, only one episode can be submitted for consideration. I’m guessing they did not submit Marionette for Anna Torv. Rather, they probably submitted an episode where she was shocasing both Olivia and Fauxlivia in one episode. Same with Noble as Walter and Walternate. Unfortunately, you kind of need to watch the whole season of Fringe to see what an amazing job they did throughout! Definitely overlooked (noble 3 times now), but it just shows the flaws in the Emmy system. I’m not really sure how to fix it though.

    • RachelH says:

So agree, why is the show always ignored when it’s one of the best things on tv and he is clearly one of the finest actors on tv. I was so hopefull…..dashed!

    • Ilene says:

All of this talk of outrage and nobody mentions Vincent D’Nofrio? Bad enough the show will no longer be with us but to once again snub the most billiant performer on television? Also, House had a so so season while Bones had yet another brilliant one but no recognition? At least I won’t have to bore myselfwatching the telecast this year!

  4. marcela says:

    Where is Courteney Cox?????

  5. Emma says:

Nothing for John Noble or Community? Do the voters even think about who they are nominating?

    • Kaitlyn says:

    • Mike says:

Maybe they’re just a little slow over there in Emmy Land. I mean, we’ve been complaining about Friday Night Lights for years and then just when we finally had it written off, they just throw in a Best Drama nomination lol Maybe Fringe and Community will get their due 3 years after they’re both off of the air LOL I mean…no nominations at ALL for these 2 great shows? painful.

      • jen says:

agreed! I’m glad parks and rec got a bit of love but seriously what is with the community snub?? Seriously how is Danny Pudi not nominated! I also have no idea why Fringe keeps getting snubbed

  6. Clam says:

    No NPH? :O

    • Polly says:

NPH has been screwed once again.

      • Caroline says:

I totally agree. He was ROBBED. Way too much Modern Family in there, and I like Jon Cryer and all, but seriously? Him over NPH? Ridiculous!

        • Nancy says:

I agree with the original poster here (Clam) and with you @Caroline! and you @Polly! NPT has been screwed once again. and Jon Cryer over NPH?! No way. Even the show didn’t garner a nomination. :(

    • Saulo says:

It’s the Outstanding Actor in Modern Family category!
He won 2 Emmys last year. Time to stay home and take care of his twins!

    • dudaynibarney says:

i hate really hate EMMYs for doing this // i mean NPH is a very talented man and you can see that he really love his work as .. barney then you cut him off in the list of nominees !

      come on !

  7. Marie says:

Whats with lack of love for John Noble and Community. John Noble is probably one of the best actors on TV right now.

    • Juan says:

I love Dexter and all but I feel like they’re giving it too much love. I mean, Julia Stiles, really? And they leave out the Fringe guys?

      • Becky says:

Here’s an even better question. WHERE IS THE LOVE FOR MATT BOMER IN WHITE COLLAR? You watch White Collar Season 2 episode 9 Point Blank. Watch when Neal storms into the room, waves the gun around and asks the man “Why did you kill Kate?” Over. And over. SO MUCH EMMY DESERVINGNESS RIGHT THERE.

  8. Guy says:

They are rigged. All Good Wife, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Friday night Lights. Sorry but the performances of some of those nominated are a joke. The Emmys are a joke. Kadee Strickland from Private Practice wasn’t nominated for supporting when she put the best performance of the year in. Love or hate the show the performance was outstanding. Sorry but The Emmy’s are nothing. They are rigged and its ridiculous. Its like they only watch 12 or so TV shows.

    • Courtney says:

I agree so much about Kadee! That is one I am majorly pissed off about because she so clearly gave one of the best performances of the year. You know something is wrong if she wasn’t nominated. And I agree, it’s like they only watch a few shows? Like it just doesn’t make sense that Fringe and Community weren’t nominated.

    • Jackie says:

You’re right. Especially with Kadee Strickland. She was amazing in the rape episode. Great performance!

    • Natalie says:

Agreed!!! Frustrated with the lack of diversity. Glee should not be on the Comedy list. It’s not even funny! (Insert Cougar Town!) Kadee was unbelievable this year. Clearly there’s a hidden agenda.

    • Nancy says:

@Guy, you are so right. And particularly about Kadee Strickland’s performance from the rape scene episode on throughout the rest of the season.

    • indiebreadkid says:

Word! KaDee’s performance in the entire season was just amazing, while PPP might not be award-worthy, her performance sure was. A sad example of how the people who are supposed to judge actors and not TV shows decide on their picks. While KaDee might not win any Emmys, she sure won the hearts of many and helped more people with her work this season than the rest of the nominees.

  9. Amy says:

I’m really happy for Parks and Rec- this season certainly deserved it. But where is Fringe?

  10. jay says:

Delighted for Melissa McCarthy but disappointed for Kaley Cuoco and Courtney Cox who only improves.

    • Becky says:

Mellissa McCarthy was the wrong McCarty to get a nod. Andrew McCarthy on White Collar as Vincent Adler. I’ll be boycotting the Emmy’s now. No love for Chuck, White Collar, Castle, or any of the good shows on TV.

    • M says:

personally i don’t think kaley deserved it this year. I found her character to be pretty bland this season

  11. Courtney says:

I really, really do not understand how Community didn’t get nominated? Like it logically doesn’t make sense. And Joel McHale? Like why in the world are they not nominated when all that show does is get praised, but then Glee which received so much criticism this season does? Same with Fringe? It’s actually really upsetting.

  12. Jackie says:

So glad that Big Bang Theory and Johnny Galecki got nominations alongside Jim Parsons. It would be great to see Big Bang take the win in September.

Still no Cougar Town or Chuck love though. :'(

    • Saulo says:

Even thinking about this Theory (one of those win) is terrible!
This is the year to vote for Steve Carell. Period.

    • murley says:

i agree. steve carell made the character of michael scott an icon. he must win an emmy for that role.

  13. Suse says:

Hooray for all the love for Game of Thrones, The Killing, Justified, Friday Night Lights, Melissa McCarthy, and the even distribution of nods for the men of Modern Family! VERY disappointed though that John Noble was totally overlooked (again!), and that Sean Bean scored no love either. Would have also been happy to see The Walking Dead get up there for Best Drama, but a girl can only dream…

    • Emily says:

Agreed about GoT. I’m super happy that it got nominated for best drama, and that Peter Dinklage got nominated. But Sean Bean really deserved something, especially seeing as how it will be his only season of the show.

      • JohnDoe says:

        Me too. Great show.

      • shaun says:

I was hoping Maisie Williams would be nominated as supporting actress for playing Arya.Dunno why 2 actresses are from that horribly boring show The Good Wife.

        • bhm1304 says:

I was pulling for the fantastic job Emilia Clarke put in on “Game of Thrones” as Daenerys Targaryen to be recognized in supp. actress. It was her first freaking role and she put in one of the best performances in a supporting role in recent memory. She made everyone watching the show a Dany supporter and was in the most awesome final scene of a freshman series since Ron Moore’s “Battlestar Galactica”. Apparently the Emmy nominating committee is the only thing capable of burning a dragon. No they give 2 nominations to two women on the same overrated boring legal procedural instead. Shenanigans.

  14. schaden says:

    Game of Thrones! YES.

  15. harmograz says:

can’t believe Bones got duped again. At the very least Emily Deschanel deserved a nomination…she was amazing this season.

    • TOM says:

yes I agree! always the same faces! always Mariska Hargitay bla bla bla…. they didn’t watch Bones, expecially 6×09 “the doctor in the photo”. or “blackout in the blizzard” or “the hole in the heart”!!! and this is so sad because Bones and Emily Deschanel REALLY deserve to win! Emily is great!!!!

      • harmograz says:

EXACTLY. Emily’s acting in “The Doctor in the Photo” ALONE would have gotten her an Emmy, let alone this whole season with her character’s storylines & such. I am SO sick of stupid shows getting overnominated and good shows like Bones getting forgotten. It annoys me.

    • b says:

I think she gets hurt by the nature of the character – many Emmy voters are basing their votes off the one submitted episode and don’t have the context of the whole show. So since Bones is such a socially awkward, stilted sort of character, I’m guessing that some voters don’t realize that that’s intentional (and that balancing that with the deep emotional parts makes it a more challenging role), and just think that Emily’s acting is stilted or wooden. Such a shame, because she does balance the two sides beautifully!

  16. Shawn Driscoll says:

Hugh Laurie?..Really? That spot should have gone to Sean Bean. I suspect a Lannister plot.

  17. Chris says:

Denis O’Hare and John Noble got screwed!!!

  18. Iulya says:

Where is Criminal Minds and Paget Brewster ?! They Deserved at least a nominations for the Lauren Episode this year

  19. Kevin says:

    Seriously where is Courtney Cox!

  20. Becca says:

Parsons I’ll give them but Galecki over Joel McHale! Were they high? Also putting Glee for another nomination I predicted that but this season was so streets behind compared to last year. Why is it the critics love Community so much and yet it can’t get the recognition it deserves with Community. I mean seriously.

  21. Aisling says:

Where’s the love for Fringe!! C’mon people between John Noble and Anna Torv’s work this year they deserved a nomination!!

  22. Sad that House M.D. didn’t make the list but no shocker there. Not the show it used to be.

However, there’s always hope with Hugh! He has been nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. I don’t want to see him be the “Susan Lucci” of the Primetime Emmys. He deserves it after so many wonderful years of STELLAR performances. Only one more chance after this year but considering the direction of the show going into its final year, this may be his last shot.

  23. Lukas says:

No John Noble?!?!? No NPH?!? W.T.F.

  24. Chris says:

Add me into the list of people ticked at the no love for Community, Joel McHale, and Danny Pudi. All three should have been nominated. While I am glad for Glee, Chris Colfer, Jane Lynch, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristin Chenoweth, and Dot Marie Jones, where is the love for Heather Morris and Naya Rivera? Heather especially has some of the best lines in all of TV.

  25. AJ says:

Leaving out NPH? That’s F*cked up. Don’t watch MF but he definitly deserved a nom over Colfer.

    • Rock Golf says:

I’m a fan of both, but Colfer just bared his soul in the show this year. He could win for the Prom episode alone. NPH was as good as usual, but nothing special this year, compared to, say, Jason Segal in the same show.

      • jamie says:

agree. Jason Segal was the most deserving of the cast this year

        • dudaynibarney says:

i hate really hate EMMYs for doing this // i mean NPH is a very talented man and you can see that he really love his work as barney then you cut him off in the list of nominees and JASON SEGEL ?? come on that guy made me cry and laugh at the same time !

both of them or at least one of them deserved that F*cking NOMS/

  26. hydra says:

parks and rec is wonderful and i’m glad for the love, but not enough to make up for zero community nods. i mean, “the rocky horror glee show” got more nominations than community, and that might have been the worst hour of television all season.

  27. Lou says:

FINALLY Friday Night Lights gets some recognition. And for Chandler and Britton too, incredible actors who deserve some acknowledgment, in my opinion. So happy for the show.

  28. Carol says:

No nod for Noble?????? It’s a very sad day :(

  29. Sara N. says:

All I needed to see was Peter Dinklage for Game of Thrones, so I’m satisfied. Yay!

  30. k says:

As much as I love the Big Bang Theory and find Johnny Galecki quite delightful, he doesn’t really deserve a nomination, Joel McHale from Community should be there. Seriously WTF?! COMMUNITY NEEDS TO BE RECOGNISED!

    • Raksha says:

EXACTLY!!! Community is the best thing that happened to television. How is it NEVER nominated???? Emmys suck.

  31. serena says:

So happy for Melissa McCarthy but so disappointed Lauren Graham got snubbed AGAIN!! AND BUSY PHILLIPS! AND COURTNEY COX! WHAT THE HELL. LOVE JIm Parsons and Johnny Galecki though :) But no NPH?? stupid stupid stupid.

  32. Sam says:

What about John Noble, Anna Torv and Fringe? Or Stana Katic and Castle? Do you not know good television or is the mass media controlling you still?! Freaking puppets!

  33. Allie says:

Seriously, no Courtney Cox nomination again!?

  34. Marg says:

John Noble and Anna Torv were robbed.
Does the Academy even know about Fringe? If they did, Noble and Torv would of been a shoe-in. The two of them should of been in the nominations, and should of sweeped the Emmys.
But alas, we only have the same people (some of them deserving, some of them not.).

  35. Sasha says:

    Johnny Galecki got a NOM…

    I will def watch now!!!

  36. Martina says:

Em, I’m sure I read on here that two and a half men had decided not to enter the show or any of it’s actors for the emmy’s this year, so how come the nomination for Jon Cryer?

  37. Amanda says:

Yay Friday Night Lights!!!!! Connie and Kyle so deserve the nominations! Also psyched for Melissa McCarthy, Martha Plimpton, Amy Poehler, Matt LeBlanc. But Community seriously needs some Emmy love.

  38. Molly says:

    Yay for Peter Dinklage!
    Jon Cryer? Seriously? Stupid.

  39. Kristin says:

I’m sorry, I call total BS on Kathy Bates and Mariska Hargitay. No WAY they deserve Emmy noms over Anna Torv. NO freaking WAY.

I also call BS on the total lack of Fringe recognition. I totally effing give up on the Emmys. First, never any love for Buffy, now no love for Fringe.

  40. sandra says:

Jennifer Carpenter deserved to be nominated for Dexter

  41. nikita says:

    where’s lea michele?

  42. Anthony says:

Cougar Town : Courteney Cox, Krista Miller & Busy Phillipps – SNUBBED

  43. Lohrien says:

Where´s FRINGE????!!! I can´t believe they pass it all over again! What´s wrong with this people?

  44. CathEh says:

are you kidding me???? really bummed by these nominations :(

    • Jana says:

So true! Almost all the nominations suck! Seriously… Not even worth watching the Emmys then :(

      • Becky says:

WHERE IS THE LOVE FOR MATT BOMER IN WHITE COLLAR? You watch White Collar Season 2 episode 9 Point Blank. Watch when Neal storms into the room, waves the gun around and asks the man “Why did you kill Kate?” Over. And over. SO MUCH EMMY DESERVINGNESS RIGHT THERE. But noooooooo. Stupid shows get nommed.

  45. Laura says:

Glad that Justified and Timothy Olyphant got some love, but John Noble (and Anna Torv) should have been nominated.

  46. Kaitlyn says:

  47. kozmikg says:

WTF??? Where’s the Fringe love? The show, Anna and John all deserved noms if not to win. Shame on you Emmy’s….shame on you!!!!

  48. Davi says:

Wow. How narrow minded of a grouping. Thank You Emmy nominators for again proving that Hollywood is about who you know vs what you know (or even do.)

There are a lot more cable stations and shows than what is on HBO. And what, exactly, did PBS do to deserve 45 nominations, bore that many people to death? Heaven forbid they be forced to make engaging informational television instead of collecting accolades for the same, dried out, uninspired pieces of drudgery that they’ve been producing for years.

  49. Gabby says:

I love all the noms for the Good Wife! Now that’s a quality tv drama! I absolutely love the nom for Amy Poehler and Parks & Rec! The only thing that bothers me…all the Modern Family nominations! That show is so overrated, sorry. There could have been more Cougar Town and Parks & Rec noms instead!

    • Jana says:

Indeed.. Modern Family is not too good a show :P.

      • Gabby says:

Right?! You’ve got to be kidding me. I doubt that EVERY single cast member even deserved a nomination. No way! Plus, I can’t stand that entire show. I watched one episode…got nothing! Parks & Rec for the win!

  50. Laura says:

Finally Cat Deeley got some love!
