    • ….Chuck doesn’t belong at con? Are you kidding?

Comment by Jon – June 18, 2011 10:07 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • Yeah, seriously. Chuck, TBBT and Futurama are the few shows I’d say are the only justifiable comic esque shows are Con, where’s Bones and Glee fail in that regard.

Comment by Joel – June 18, 2011 02:29 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • Lol sorry I was only semi awake this morning, I didn’t mean to include chuck in that list. But seriously, glee?? They just throw anything in now to generate buzz

Comment by Paul – June 18, 2011 02:56 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
          • What do you mean..of course Glee belongs at comic-con
Its obviously set in a post apocalyptic future American with a young cast of animatronic(robot) karaoke singers

Comment by Malcolm – June 19, 2011 06:56 AM PDT
    • ^Agree with Jon. Paul, dude, wth are you talkin about? Chuck has been at the con since it started airing.

    • How could you say chuck doesn’t belong at the con???? I get the others but chuck is great! Zachary Levi is probably the coolest tv star nerd ever in RL.

  • No Supernatural this year?

First theCW doesn’t have them at the Upfronts, now they won’t come to Comic Con?

Do I smell an agenda here?

Comment by dana – June 18, 2011 09:29 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • I think that Comic con tends not to have the same show come back two years in a row. Supernatural was there last year, so they weren’t invited for this year.

Comment by Percysowner – June 18, 2011 09:43 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • Supernatural has been at comic con for the past several years in a row. I am really surprised they aren’t on the list.

Comment by Jay – June 18, 2011 10:17 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • i think the shows listed are the shows that have signed up…. supernatural WILL be at comic-con

Comment by eddie – June 18, 2011 11:22 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
          • I hope that “Supernatural” is there. It’s a “regular serie” at the Comic Con so it shouldn’t miss the event this year. So, CW not blast the show please. It’ll be our first year at San Diego Comic Con and we move from Spain to view the Cast & Crew of Supernatural. If they aren’t there I’m sure that the experience will be fantastic too, but it’s not the same.

            Comment by Moira_glc – June 19, 2011 06:14 AM PDT
    • Read the listings again. Jared and Jensen will be there, it’s the other cast members and producers that aren’t committed yet.
I so want to go! I’ve never had the opportunity yet, but hopefully one day…the lineup this year sounds really good.

  • I wanted to go to Comic Con this year but when I tried to get tixs their stupid website wasn’t working. I got to the point of hitting add to cart then it kicked me out. Anyone have tips on getting tixs so maybe I can go next year.

Comment by Nicole – June 18, 2011 09:33 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Con has been sold out for awhile

Comment by ggny – June 18, 2011 09:59 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • We’re going for the first time this year! The ticketing was handled terribly. We were basically sitting on two computers refreshing every few seconds until the page loads and repeating until we got all the way through. It doesn’t help that it’s becoming more and more popular every year though. You just need to be persistent and block out a few hours the day they go on sale to do nothing but refresh.

Comment by Ian – June 18, 2011 12:22 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • wrong. i’ve been the last 3 years, i live for comic con.
i sat at my computer for 4 straight hours and couldn’t get tickets.

Comment by devon – July 8, 2011 01:27 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • I’m still mad about that. I tried for hours to get those four-day passes, and then I couldn’t keep trying because I had plans. I only got Thursday and Sunday. Next year I won’t make the same mistake – I’ll block off the entire afternoon.

Comment by Becky – June 19, 2011 09:07 AM PDT  Reply To This Post

Comment by Jaden – June 18, 2011 02:10 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Jaden, are you on Ringer payroll? The pilot wasn’t very good, and neither was Sarah M Gellar.

        • You Buffy/SMG fans are overhyping this and will be very disappointed. It’s a dumb, unbelievable premise, poorly executed and indifferently acted. You’ll see!

Comment by scott – June 19, 2011 12:39 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
          • I saw the pilot and thought it was great. SMG was good, as were the other actors and I absolutely can’t wait to see episode 2.

Comment by cal – June 28, 2011 08:12 AM PDT
          • That’s why even people on this site that have seen it have it listed in their top 10 pilots for this season and is not #10 of 10. I don’t mind some stating their opinion but that is all it is. Just cause you don’t like doesn’t make it necessarily true that the show sucks.

Comment by Dave – July 8, 2011 04:07 PM PDT
  • one day i would love to go to one of this things, it would be amazing. to bad i have no money and i’m in europe.

from this year Comic-con, i would love to see the panel from Awake, Game of Thrones, Community and Chuck(i hope this is not their last comic-con).

Comment by João Amaral – June 18, 2011 03:57 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • We need a virtual, on-line version, one where we could at least watch the participants, even if we can’t IM them and take part in it. You’d expect that Comic-Con would be one of the first to offer this, especially since they sell out tickets anyway.

Comment by sashay – June 27, 2011 06:54 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Given that this season is Chuck’s last season in the air, it’s a preety sure this will be their last Comic-Con too.

        • well in that case david boreanaz is eternal as angel so he has to be there
god why are castle fans so defensive

Comment by nessa – June 19, 2011 02:47 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
          • well a lot of shows in this list dont deserve to be there so stop bashing them like this
i guess over the years comic con has just widened for all types of fans out there

the one im most exicted about is psych coz their panels are the most awesome of the lot :)

Comment by tom – June 19, 2011 02:52 AM PDT
          • Yeah, like Bones fans are any less defensive when it comes to their show. If you read the comments above you can see that a Bones fan started this argument when she pointed out that if Bones doesn’t belong at SDCC then Castle and Glee don’t belong there as well. So it was a Bones fan who was defensive. And anyway, there are a lot of people (like myself) who watch both Castle and Bones, so please stop trying to pick a fight here. It’s up to SDCC to decide which shows are worthy to be there and as long as enough fans show up at the panels, there is no reason to be mad about that.

Comment by Jenn – June 19, 2011 07:13 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Definitely. Also Castle is coming out with an actual comic. So there’s cross promotion. lol

Comment by AJ – June 19, 2011 11:59 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • I remember Weeds had a panel last year, maybe because it was seen as a sitcom where people try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world by being stoned.
As for who’s in or out, I’m sure the CW will have a presence from Vampire Diaries to Supernatural, and Ringer which (hopefully) includes an appearance from SMG. That’s much better than some dull Twilight panel.
It’s safe to say new fantasy shows from Alcatraz and Grimm to Once Upon a Time will be part of the line-up. It’s a much smaller risk than Scott Pilgrim or Sucker Punch. But then again, the buzz that the pilot for The Event generated fell fast when the show failed to come up with something just as good quickly enough (maybe Earth 2 should have shown up around Thanksgiving maybe?). We’ll learn more soon.

Comment by David Mello – June 19, 2011 11:03 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Hopefully SMG will be there? The headline for this, is that she IS showing up. Do most people that comment on here not even read the blog? Now people aren’t even reading the headlines before they comment?

      • Um dude, when they wrote this comment 8 days ago, it was unknown if SMG was going to be there, and this article didn’t reflect that yet, check the date on the comment, seems someone else actually has the reading problem.

  • Pacey-Con. I love it. Saw that on Funny or Die last year. Also last year was my first (since I moved out of CA probably my last CC) time attending. Only went one day but had a great time. I was able to get into the Chuck and Community panels. Everyone should try to go at least once if you’re into this kind of stuff. Memorable experience.

  • I honestly think that Temperamce & Angela are getting somewhere w/ all this Bones stuff. As a faithful Bones vewer myself, I am glad that B/B are going to have a baby. I think that everyonewho watches Bones saw her soft spot 4 kids in season 2. & something crossed my mind the other day. If ihe baby got his fathers looks & mothers brains, that would N-O-T be a good mix. I am also wondering if B/B are going to get married? Also, I’m happy that Angela & Hodgins had a healthy son, Michel. YEA 4 BONES!!!

Comment by ggny – June 27, 2011 05:32 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • That is funny, and it will give other Fringe fans a chance to attend the panel, and Anna, Blair, Jasika, John and Lance to say a bit more.

I loved Anna Torv and John Noble together at Paley, and Jasika and John have been two other Comic Cons, and Anna Torv has been in europe on her own, meeting fans promoting Fringe, all very succesful.

  • Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz will both be at comic-con! I want a buffy reunion!

Comment by trev – June 27, 2011 01:49 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • That’s exactly what I thought! Oh, for God’s sake, won’t someone organise a fundraiser to get this nuerotic, TVobsessed English girl out to San Diego?

  • Did anyone else see David Boreanaz and SMG in the pic above and instantly yell, “BUFFY AND ANGEL!!!?

Comment by jason stackhouse – June 27, 2011 08:02 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Yes. In fact, my thought was more like “OMG BUFFY AND ANGEL AGAIN…I wonder if they’d pose for any pictures together, seeing as how they’re both there to promote their new (separate, different) shows…they’ll always be Buffy & Angel!!”

sigh. I hope Ausiello can wrangle them together in a room for 5 seconds, even just for the picture!!!

Comment by Rachel – June 27, 2011 08:16 PM PDT  Reply To This Post

      • You guys do realize that they are going to be there two different days right. Sarah will be there Thursday and David will be there Friday. There probably won’t be any pictures.

Comment by Umm – July 9, 2011 03:22 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Why else would they have chosen to put Boreanaz’s photo right by SMG?

Comment by Madison – June 27, 2011 11:16 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • SMG is like, the Comic Con Queen! Anna Paquin is now the princess, the Sarah at CC? That’s just amazing…
And Gosh, what I wouldn’t give for an Angel & Buffy reunion… They owe it to us, damn it!

Comment by Liz – June 28, 2011 01:03 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • In all her years with Buffy Sarah chose to meet with fans and participate in these kinds of events almost NEVER. Despite the generous and enthusiastic participation by most of the rest of the cast/writers/creator. David was only slightly more accessible/gracious. Having her finally come out now? for this?

Yea, I’m filled with warmth and enthusiasm (not). But I know Joss loves her, so I’ll just hold my tongue and skip the panel/change the channel.

Comment by ladyhelix – June 28, 2011 05:37 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • Agreed. One can’t be the ‘queen’ of SDCC, having gone only once before.

Now, I would be fine with saying Nathan was the reigning prince of SDCC and Joss was the faerie godfather, as they both go as frequently as possible, are very gracious and accessible.

Comment by XK – June 28, 2011 10:45 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • And Grant Morrisson will always be the King of Comic Con! Gerard Way can be his Queen.

Shame that they have the US “Being Human” cast & not the UK version.. I’m sure Aus will keep us updated on EVERYTHING & EVERYONE there!! I loved his EW interviews, so I’m sure he will have even better ones this year!! (*hint*PLEASE GET THE DOCTOR WHO CAST!!)

  • Thank you for putting Glee in Hall H at 10am Sunday.

Since Smallville ended last year that was the only panel I attended Sunday before heading home.

    Now it will be Glee.

  • Whaattt?! No Alison Brie among the Community panel. I’m not a Jeff/Annie shipper (Jeff/Britta for the win) but Alison Brie is hilarious and was an absolute delight on the panel last year. Plus; this was a great season for Annie, I liked her much better this season than last season; lmfao when she was going to kiss Britta on valentines day! But I must admit as disappointed as I am that Alison won’t be there, I’d be in an absolute state of devastation if it were Gillian Jacobs not coming instead.

  • Can’t believe I have to choose between Joss Whedon and Vampire Diaries (with probably Fringe included as well, since I’ll be in a different room and won’t have time to line up). Joss Whedon will inevitably win, but I was really looking forward to the Vampire Diaries and Fringe panels. Sigh.
