The TVLine-Up: TV Worth Watching This Week

Coming to your TV this week: The Voice crowns its first champion while Wimbledon crowns two, plus Nancy Botwin is back in budness, baby! As but a supplement to the original features and reporting TVLine has coming your way, here are 32 programs to keep on your radar.

MONDAY, JUNE 27
8 pm The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family) |
Ben tells Adrian he wants to end their marriage. And here I thought those kids were gonna make it… until they were at least, like 20.
8 pm Gone (Lifetime) | Deadwood’s Molly Parker stars in this TV-movie as a nurse given an ultimatum: Help kill a patient under police custody, or never see her abducted daughter again.
8:30 How I Met Your Mother (CBS) | How Ted met Zoey. And… ugh.
10 pm Weeds (Showtime) | Season premiere: Out on parole after a three-year prison stint, transplanted pot-peddler Nancy tests the axiom about New York City: If she can make it there, she can make it anywhere.
10:30 pm The Big C (Showtime) | Cathy kicks off the new season by seeking a second opinion on her cancer — from no less than Alan “Dr. Hawkeye Pierce” Alda. Let’s hope he hasn’t been nipping at the Swamp’s still.

TUESDAY, JUNE 28
8 pm Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family) |
Aria takes a pottery class at the local college, putting her in Ezra’s orbit — good news! Jenna is also taking the class – bad news!
9 pm The Voice (NBC) | Beverly, Vicci, Javier and Dia sing for the Season 1 title, with the winner revealed, live, on Wednesday at 8.
9 pm The Nine Lives of Chloe King (ABC Family) | Alicia Coppola (Jericho) guest-stars as a Mai leader who shares with Chloe a not-at-all-small detail about the whole “nine lives” thing. That’s right, there’s a catch.
9 pm White Collar (USA Network) | A blast from Mozzie’s past cues up a very cool flashback episode.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29
8 pm So You Think You Can Dance (Fox) |
The Top 16 perform, each hoping not to be among the two sent home on Thursday at 8.
8 pm Melissa & Joey (ABC Family) | Season 1 resumes up with Joey prepping for a date with his ex-wife (Wicked‘s Megan Hilty) — unaware of the bombshell she’s about to drop. Sources tell me his reaction is, “Whoa.”
8:30 pm State of Georgia (ABC Family) | Former Cosby kid Raven-Symone fronts this new series as an aspiring actress who moves to NYC with her geeky bestie (Roswell‘s Majandra Delfino).
9 pm Royal Pains (USA Network) | The Season 3 opener finds Hank doing his doctor thing, Divya dealing with the fallout of her non-wedding, and Jill en route back to the Hamptons… with a secret. (Does it have to do with a certain sexy Chicago private eye?)
9 pm Franklin & Bash (TNT) | Beau Bridges sighting No. 1! Here, he plays the father of Breckin Meyers’ Jared.
10 pm Love in the Wild (NBC) | Reality series premiere: What if Survivor and Bachelor Pad had a drunken hot tub hook-up and made a baby?
10 pm Necessary Roughness (USA Network) | This new series stars Rescue Me‘s Callie Thorne as Dr. Dani Santino, a newly single mom who becomes a “shrink to the stars”, starting with a pro football headcase (True Blood‘s Mehcad Brooks). Buffyverse alum Marc Blucas plays Dani’s love interest.

THURSDAY, JUNE 30
8 pm The Big Bang Theory (CBS) |
One Ring to screw them all!
9 pm Glee (Fox) | Gwyneth Paltrow returns for a little “Sexy” time.
9 pm Burn Notice (USA Network) | Anyone else think that Kessler isn’t actually dead? Or that Grant Show doesn’t make for a believable CIA agent?
9:30 pm Parks and Recreation (NBC) | While doing press for the Harvest Festival, Ben repeatedly gets tongue-tied over his “Ice Town” past.
10 pm Rookie Blue (ABC) | Andy goes undercover as a cocktail waitress, and also opens up to Sam about her thing with Luke.
10 pm Love Bites (NBC) | Beau Bridges sighting No. 2! This time, he’s playing a dad trying to console his son (Drop Dead Diva‘s Ben Feldman) over a breakup (with True Blood‘s Anna Camp, which I have to imagine has gotta sting bad). Chris Parnell (30 Rock) and Cristian de la Fuente (In Plain Sight) also guest star. Say what you will about this series. but its Love Boat-like hodgepodge casting is kind of fun.
10 pm Wilfred (FX) | Can this dog hunt? Meaning, can it retain its boffo premiere numbers? We’ll find out, as Ryan struggles to get Wilfred to the doggie dentist.

FRIDAY, JULY 1
8 pm Friday Night Lights (NBC)
| While Coach gets sacked by budget cuts, wife Tami heads to Pennsylvania for a primo job interview.
9 pm House (Fox) | When Cuddy’s mom checks in as a patient, it basically tees up the beginning of the end for “Huddy.”

SATURDAY, JULY 2
9 am Wimbledon Championship (NBC) |
The Top 2 ladies slug it out this morning, while the fellas’ final airs Sunday at 9 am.
9:45 pm Scream (TBS) | AKA when Courteney met David. Well, at least the franchise made it to 2011.

SUNDAY, JULY 3
9 pm Christopher Titus: Neverlution (Comedy Central) |
In this special, the stand-up comic takes on topics such as “Everyone gets a trophy” parenting, Lady Gaga, childhood and politics.
9 pm Leverage (TNT) | When their latest mark gets murdered mid-con, it’s a race against time before Nate is pinched for the killing.
9 pm True Blood (HBO) | Sookie and Tara catch up, Bill flashes back to his past, and Jessica grapples with her… cravings.
10 pm Treme (HBO) | Season 2 closes with an episode titled “Do Watcha Wanna” — a nice nod to the show’s theme song.
10 pm Falling Skies (TNT) | Celebrate Independence Day and Independence Day by learning a little something about how the skitters communicate.
