Ratings: Bachelorette Bounces Back, Weight Loss Show Sheds Viewers, MasterChef Cools

ABC’s The Bachelorette this Monday rebounded from its soft second outing, gaining 13 percent in total audience (with 8 million viewers) and 24 percent in the coveted 18-49 demo (scoring a 2.6 rating). What’s more, the apparently can’t-look-away horror/freak show grew its audience/demos in every half hour.

ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition, however, failed to capitalize on that heftier lead-in, shedding 20 percent of its sizable premiere audience (5.7 mil) and dipping a tenth of a point in the demo, to a 2.2. EM:WLE topped the 10 o’clock hour in the demo, but placed third in viewers behind a Five-0 repeat (6.5 mil) and Law & Order: LA (6.2 mil).

Masterchef is a pretty good show. It feels a lot classier than Hell’s Kitchen. Like the chefs actually have real talent.

Its a great show compared to all the other cooking competition shows. I just have to question Fox’s promo department. Last year the show was hugely promoted, and this year, I barely remember seeing a promo. The only reason I caught it last night was because my DVR still had last year’s season pass.

Same here , though I did catch a promo of the show the amount of attention placed on the season launch was a fraction of what FOX did last year.
But again a large problem with a show is the small group of judge that are all cooks with non being critics.
I would like a larger group of judges with lets say 2 cooks, 2 critics and Ramsey with the critics being in rotation.
Also this is not about just cooking but more so about what do you have to say.
