Hot for Summer: Your June Premieres Calendar

Sure, the TV machine cools down a bit as the temperatures rise outside, but it never takes a full-on vacation. Case in point: By perusing on the calendar TVLine has prepared, you’ll find our guide to more than 60 season and series premieres, plus a handful of specials/awards shows, all airing this month alone.

When will Leverage put the con back on? How soon will more (True) Blood be spilled? On what date do the cops of Rookie Blue report back for duty? When will ABC Family’s Little Liars bring back the pretty? Click the thumbnail calendar below, look, and save the dates!

Preemptive P.S. My calendar-making skills are not infallible, so if you spot something that is missing, drop a polite note in Comments and I’ll make updates as warranted.

P.S. No. 2: There’s still much to come in July; check the lower righthand corner for but a few select dates.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

What about Next Food Network Star? Sunday, June 5 on Food Network.

  2. GS says:

I am so ready for Drop Dead Diva to come back! Cannot see what is in store for Jane this season! Brooke Elliot is awesome and that is one of the best shows on tv! Thanks for the calendar cause I’ve been wondering what the date is! And I’m ready for more Hot in Cleveland! Another great show with a lot of laughs!

    • Jean10brook says:

Totally agree Drop Dead Diva is a smash hit and can’t wait to watch. DDD & The Glades = Great Summer Viewing! Woo Hoo!

  3. Matt says:

What about ‘Love Bites’ (NBC) and ‘Children’s Hospital’ (Adult Swim)– both on 6/2?

    • Matt Webb Mitovich says:

      Adding… and I even had both those on this week’s TVLine-Up: http://www.tvline.com/2011/05/tvlineup-tv-worth-watching-week-may-30/
Calendars are HARD. Also adding WHALE WARS and the Paris Hilton thing.

      • SAM says:

Calendars are hard, Matt! Thanks for the updates.

BTW, I wouldn’t have minded if you had forgotten that Paris Hilton thing. I know that I don’t want to remember Paris Hilton (or Lindsay Lohan, Charlie Sheen, “Jersey Shore”, or anything that starts with “Real Housewives”…)

      • Amber says:

LOL, I love how you say “the Paris Hilton thing” like it doesn’t even deserve to have its real title acknowledged. Because it doesn’t. That’s something I do whenever I talk about “that Twilight author”. I refuse to know who she is well enough to ever get her name right. Please, please forget about mentioning Paris Hilton in the future. You have my blessing. =)

  4. Laurie says:

I thought I read somewhere (and saw a promo on tv), that the new show Combat Hospital debuts on June 21st.

  5. William Whitaker says:

I would say you need to add Love Bites on NBC June 2, but isn’t it only supposed to last a few episodes??

  6. Nora Rosenbaum says:

What about “The Protector” on Lifetime?

  7. Amy Lawless says:

Thanks, Matt! News about The Glades made my week :)

  8. Amanda says:

What about Boston Med., though I think each summer they choice a different hospital/name.

    • GG says:

I was just wondering the same thing. Although, now that I think about it, seems like the John Hopkins series was in 2008, and then Boston Med was last summer, so maybe they are on an every other year time line….Matt, do you know anything about this?
Oh, and thanks for the calendar. Not to be greedy, but how soon till you have July’s calendar up? You know how it is: give an inch, we take a mile! :)

  9. Carrie says:

Thanks for posting about The Glades!! Love that show!!

  10. Kari says:

    Any word on Eureka?

    • Matt Webb Mitovich says:

JULY 11 (see the lower righthand corner which I added to head off such inquiries!)

      • Ace says:

I think — though I wouldn’t swear to it — that Warehouse 13 and Alphas premiere on the same day. (I know the shows all air on the same day of the week, but the premieres might be staggered.)

        • Ace says:

Yep, a comment further down the page confirms July 11 for all three. Man, that is going to be a very happy day for this little sci-fi fangirl!

  11. Jenna says:

Thanks for the calendar! Googling doesn’t provide much info on it but I’m looking forward to Paranormal Challenge on The Travel Challenge starting on June 17.

  12. Ellen says:

    Torchwood?

  13. Gabriela M. Medina says:

Drop Dead Diva is on Lifetime, not Tvland!

  14. mandy says:

    When does Psych come back?

    • Matt Webb Mitovich says:

      “Fall.”

    • Vicki says:

The promos are saying “Fall”. Which seems late to me.

    • slipperyslope says:

I heard it had something to do with all the other USA summer premieres. Something had to get bumped, and Psych had the best following. I love White Collar, but would have preferred THAT get bumped to fall since it was just on. Same with Burn Notice (but that show just screams summer).

      • Amber says:

Oh, is that what happened? I could have sworn I heard somewhere Psych was coming back this summer, but what you say makes total sense about something have to get bumped. Kind of a bummer though.

      • kathy says:

Yeah, I was just checking USA a few days ago, anxiously awaiting Psych..and saw Fall; which probably means November. Truly bummed. LOVE PSYCH and Burn Notice. I enjoy White Collar and Royal Pains, but want Psych NOW!

  15. Andria says:

The new season of 19 Kids And Counting (TLC) premieres on June 7th.

  16. Odis says:

Man vs Food Nation – tonight @ 9pm

  17. Jim says:

    Any word on “Rescue Me”?

  18. Gauri says:

    What about Psych (USA Network)?

    • Balaji K says:

Psych has been postponed till fall. I don’t really know why but the show stood well against the fall shows last year. Probably the reason why USA has it in it’s fall line up.

      • melita says:

thats true burn notice totally fell in numbers against fall shows
        psych stood up
still i dont like to wait a yr to watch my favshow :(

  19. Lynn T says:

What about the Nine Lives of Chloe King on ABC Family starting June 14th. Thanks!

  20. Annie says:

Can you put this on the top with the fall schedule for easy access??

  21. Denise says:

Um, when are Warehouse 13 and Haven coming back?

    Rocco’s Dinner Party? I think it’s the 15th.

  23. Balaji K says:

    Ice Road Truckers (June 5)
    Locked Up Abroad (June 5)

  24. Springsteen fan says:

Karaoke Battle U.S.A. (formerly called America’s Karaoke Challenge) will premiere on ABC on Friday, Aug. 12, 9-10 p.m. ET and runs 6 weeks.

  25. Leah says:

    Thanks!!

  26. katie says:

When does Rizzoli and Isles come back?

  27. Dave says:

    Franklin & Bash
    Falling Skies
    Warehouse 13
    Voltron
    Alphas
    Leverage
    Wilfred

  29. Monica says:

THANK YOU! I’ve been trying to cobble together my own insuffient list so I can program my dvr…you just made my life much easier!

  30. TaMara says:

    Psych…FALL?!?! Waaaahaaaa!

  31. Ace says:

June’s a rough month for TV. Looks like White Collar’s gonna have to tide me over by itself until my Syfy shows premiere in July.

  32. Carlee says:

I don’t know how many people still watch it, but I’m excited for a new season of RW/RR Challenge: Rivals premiering June 22nd on MTV.

  33. Anna says:

What about ABC’s The Nine Lives of Chloe King on June 14th? I’m not sure if you’re not including that one for a reason or anything!

    • Matt Webb Mitovich, Editor-at-Large TVLine.com says:

“The Nine Lives of Chloe King” has been on this calendar since I first posted it……..

  34. Amber says:

I am excited for Weeds, Futurama, Burn Notice, Louie, and I’m very curious about that Wilfred show. I thought I had read once Weeds was coming back this week, but I guess I read wrong before. Which is a real shame, because I am so BORED!!!! I need something to watch. United States of Tara and Nurse Jackie are not enough to keep me going. My DVR is so empty. Curse you Mad Men, for your slow negotiations and not coming back until 2012. (Though thank goodness it IS coming back).

I just burned through the first season of Walking Dead last night. Does anyone know when season 2 is coming back? With my luck, I’m guessing not until next year.

  35. Jenn says:

Oh heck yeah!!! thank you for mentioning Leverage 1st ;) I am so stoked to see Nate and the gang (especially that sweet, sexi Eliot). after that it’s all about Burn Notice and True Blood. Summer has some of the best TV out there!!!! Can’t wait!!!!

  36. lauren says:

No Real World/Road Rules Challenge on there? WHATEVER.

  37. Donna says:

    Will HawthoRNe be back?

  38. umbrella says:

Can’t wait for White Collar. I saw them filming in Madison Square Park a couple of weeks ago!! :D

  39. Danielle says:

I think Wipeout returns June 23rd, and I’ll join the shamed anxiously waiting for MTV’s The Challenge on June 22nd.

  40. S says:

yay Love Bites!! Tomorrow yall, tomorrow!

  41. breakin'bad says:

Breaking Bad is missing!!!! And True Blood.

  42. Luz says:

Franklin and Bash was good!!! Love Summer TV!
Thanks for putting this together Matt!

  43. Mindi says:

Inside the Actor’s Studio comes back Tuesday, June 7th with the cast of Modern Family.

  44. Kristi says:

I thought I saw a commercial for Precinct on NBC – any word on that? It would really suck if that show does well yet they cancelled THe Chicago Code!!

  45. Karl K says:

Is the calendar only available as a JPEG image? (i.e. no Google calendar or iCal-formatted data, for easy import into my own calendaring program?)

  46. jp says:

This calendar date-wise is wrong – it is for 2011…June 1st is a Friday not WED – THIS IS FOR LAST YEAR!
