Fringe Exclusive: Seth Gabel Returning Full-Time

Looks like someone’s going to take advantage of that fancy new “bridge” between universes next season on Fringe — and that someone is Seth Gabel!

Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that the actor — who has recurred the last two seasons as Bolivia’s “Over There” colleague, Lincoln Lee — will return in Season 4 as a full-fledged series regular.

Fringe Finale Exclusive: WTF Just Happened?! Producers Answer (Some) Burning Questions!

In a March episode, viewers finally met Linc’s “Over Here” doppelganger — a mild-mannered FBI desk jockey. But I think it’s safe to say it’s the immensely popular alt-Linc who will be the version we see more of come fall.

This marks Gabel’s first full-time series gig since he starred as silver-spooned brat Jeremy Darling on ABC’s Dirty Sexy Money.

  3. Lissy says:

    YAY! Love Linc! Woo Hoo!

  4. A says:

AWESOME NEWS! I’ve pretty much loved Lincoln since he showed up in S2, and for only being in maybe 10 episodes overall, Seth Gabel’s given him such great depth. So excited to have him sign on full-time! Now, with that done, can we get Charlie back too? :)

  5. AcuraT says:

I think it comes to how series the creators were when they said, “Someone will die the last episode.” There were two deaths in the last episode – Olivia in the first decision by Peter, and Peter in the revised decision.

There is a big logic flaw in the script right now that a Mack truck could drive through being that without Peter, why did this problem develop in the first place? And why do the two sides have to work together to solve the rip in space/time?

The ending, quite honestly, was very disappointing. They will have to explain a lot in the first episode next season to this discontinuitity in logic. If they just go on with no more Peter, and adopt Seth Gabel’s “link” as Oliva’s new boy toy, that is not going to hold a heck of a lot of appeal to a sizeable part of Fringe’s core auidence. I hope the producers realize they are taking a huge change with their borderline cancelation numbers and bring back Peter in the first episode. Otherwise, they have an uphill battle in staying relevant in 2012.

  6. SnippieT says:

That is AWESOME!! I really like Lincoln with the Olivia from there. NOT with the Olivia from Peters world.Gotta find Peter..He can not be GONE!!!

  7. Mink says:

Brandon over here is at the lab of Massive Dynamic

  8. Mink says:

love to watch Seth as both Lincoln Lee, and wondering if the season4 will tell why Alt-Lincoln recognised Nick in Last ep (season2) and fisrt ep of (season3) right before Lincoln got burnt

  9. Mink says:

there’s another character which is not in our universe – the taxi driver henry

  10. Mink says:

I want William Bell back too. Walter said only Bell could know some of the answers /solutions

  11. Major Pajor says:

I’d like to see a storyline or episode that combines his characters from both universes. Lincoln Lee’s a cool guy.

  12. Jeff Lynch says:

I really wish Lincoln Lee was a real person, because if he was I would give him kisses. He is so so so so so COOL.

  13. zurvivor says:

i am glad to see seth gabel being fulltime cast and i love both lincoln lee(over there is much hotter though). i have been really fond of him since season 2.there is just something about him that is lovable to me. glad that it is not just me seeing the potential.

  14. Angelo says:

Personally could care less, and don’t see the need for this character getting more coverage; there’s still so very much we don’t know about Col. Broyles, Nina, Walter’s new role as Massive Dynamic’s head, Astrid’s background, William Bell’s legacy…I could go on, but there it is.
