Ratings: Parenthood's Season Finale Is Grand

NBC’s Parenthood put on quite a show with its Season 2 finale, earning 25 percent gains in both total viewers (hitting 6.3 million) and in the demo (with a 2.5 rating). In fact, that is the family drama’s largest audience since this season’s premiere, and its best demos since Sept. 21.

As such, Ausiello just upgraded the show’s status on the TVLine Renewal Scorecard.

Elsewhere this Tuesday:

8/7c | Though an NCIS repeat topped the hour in total viewers (with 13.3 million), Glee led the Tuesday demos with a 3.8 rating. The Fox hit however was down 11 percent in total audience (slipping to 9.7 mil). One Tree Hill returned to 1.43 million viewers and a 0.7 rating.

9/8c | The Dancing With the Stars results show was the night’s most watched program (with 15.8 million viewers), but hit a season low demo rating (for both fall and spring) of 2.9. Fox’s Raising Hope (5.7 mil/2.2) dipped 4 percent in the demo, while Hellcats had little to cheer about with a mere 1.14 million viewers and a Shedding for the Wedding-esque 0.5 rating. Eek.

10/9c | Buoyed by a double dose of Mad woman Christina Hendricks, Body Of Proof bettered its renewal chances by holding steady at 11.5 million viewers and a 2.3 rating. An NCIS: LA repeat (9 mil/2.0) outdrew Parenthood but placed last in the demos.
