Fall TV Preview

TVLine Items: Condi 30 Rocks, Syfy's Summer, Psych's New Kid, and Other TV News to Know

Elizabeth Banks better watch her back! Jack Donaghy’s ex is rolling into town, and she goes by former Secretary of State.

During an NPR interview, Tina Fey revealed that Condoleezza Rice will appear as herself on an upcoming episode of 30 Rock, where it long ago was established that Jack had a romantic history with a “high-ranking African-American member of the Bush Administration.” Hey, we’re just putting two-and-two together.

Ready for more of today’s TV dish? Well…

• The youngest New Man Kid on the Block, Joey McIntyre, has landed a guest spot on the sixth season of USA’s Psych, says EW.com. The onetime popstar (who is currently touring the U.S. with both the Kids and The Backstreet Boys) will play a “buff new” Santa Barbara PD officer… who might actually be a masked superhero.

• Syfy has unveiled its summer lineup, so get your calendar out and jot down these muy importante dates: The new drama Alphas premieres Monday, July 11 at 10/9c; Eureka‘s fourth season resumes Monday, July 11 at 8 pm; Season 3 of Warehouse 13 starts up July 11 at 9 pm; and Haven returns with a second season on Friday, July 15 at 10 pm.

• CBS has picked up a new reality series, titled Same Name, which will find celebrities switching places with us “normal folk” who just so happen to bear the — you guessed it! — same name. Hmm, this TVLine writer must ask: Do Supernatural characters count as well?

  • Yahoo! I figured Spring might be a little too soon for Eureka and Warehouse 13 to come back. Best of all, no competing with White Collar and Covert Affairs.
