Done Deal: Snooki, JWoww, and Pauly D Score Jersey Shore Spinoffs

It’s official: Jersey Shore‘s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio will be starring in offshoots of the MTV hit.

On Thursday, the cabler announced the pickup of two Jersey Shore spinoffs set to star the reality trainwreck show’s three breakout personalities.

“Nicole, Pauly D and Jenni have become household names as a result of their unique, sometimes outrageous and often hilarious personalities,” MTV programming vice president Chris Linn said of the pickup. “We’re excited to put the spotlight on their lives away from the shore as they pursue their individual passions, careers and relationships… Both series are fun, fresh ways for us to evolve what is an already successful brand for us.”

The Untitled Snooki and JWoww Project will follow the unlikely pals outside their Seaside Heights home, giving viewers a glimpse of “how they deal with life and love when the vacation is over,” per the press release.

Fans can also hit the road with the always mobile deejay in the Untitled Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio Project, which sheds light on the Jersey boy’s budding career in the music biz. And since Vinnie and The Situation won’t be around to lighten the mood, viewers will get to know the reality star’s best (meaning: actual) buds outside of the Shore.

Production on both 12-episode shows begins this summer with an eye toward premiering in 2012.

  • Regardless if you like JERSEY SHORE or not (cue the haters), they are entertaining. I’m really excited to see both shows. For me, these three make it. The rest are replaceable.

      • They do play music videos. Move on!

      • Seriously? That point doesn’t even hold true. They had a morning block of music videos last year. Point is, NO ONE WATCHES MUSIC VIDEOS ON TELEVISION ANYMORE.

  • At least it isn’t Ronnie and Sammi that are getting a spinoff. It would be the most grating TV series of all time.

  • Really? There isn’t enough trashy reality TV on the air already?

  • These three make it for me too! I think they’re the most entertaining
of the bunch. If Ronnie and Sammie were given a spin off
I wouldn’t watch it. They’re annoying and painful to watch.
So happy for Pauly, Snooki, and Jeni!

  • MTV should be sued for contributing to the dumbing down of America. Jersey Shore, Teen Mom or 16 and pregnant or whatever those shows are, truly despicable. We are in bad enough shape to begin with, MTV is breeding mental midgets who will contribute nothing to society but give us trashy tabloid garbage.

  • This is ridiculous and sad. I remember when MTV used to mean “Music Television” and not “Moron Television.”
