TVLine Items: Natalie Zea's Interesting New Gig, Bethenny Is Loved, and Other TV News to Know

Natalie Zea has landed a role in a J.J. Abrams pilot for the 2011-12 TV season. (No, not Alcatraz — the other one.) But what does this mean for the future of Justified‘s Winona on the just-renewed FX hit?

In a word: nothing. TVLine spoke with Zea at FX’s upfront soiree Tuesday night, and she assured us that her involvement with the CBS pilot Person of Interest is strictly a one-time guest spot in the pilot. Per TVGuide.com, which broke the casting news, Zea will play a District Attorney whose life in endangered when she gets too close to a case.

• Less than a month after its Season 2 premiere, Vulture is reporting that Bravo has ordered a third season of Bethenny Frankel’s docu-series, Bethenny Ever After.

Hayden Panettierre’s Heroes mama, Ashley Crow, has joined the ever-expanding cast of The CW’s much-hyped pilot, The Secret Circle. She will play the witchy grandmother of Britt Robertson’s Cassie, says Zap2it,

The Daily Show correspondent Jason Jones will play Heather Locklear’s hunky younger hubby in the CBS’ comedy pilot The Assistants.

• Nancy Travis (The Bill Engvall Show) is set to play the no-nonsense wife to Tim Allen’s gender-minded leading man the Home Improvement vet’s new ABC comedy pilot. Travis also scored a guest-starring/recurring role in The CW’s Hart of Dixie, starring Rachel Bilson (The O.C.) and Scott Porter (The Good Wife).

    Whew! Just breathed a sigh of relief, thought Natalie Zea was leaving Justified.

    I’m sorry but this situation seems very similar to what happened with Elizabeth Mitchell and V/LOST.

    I’m sure she was just covering her bases in case Justified didn’t get picked up for a third season. I’m sure if her character doesn’t get killed off in the pilot episode, and fans respond to it, she’ll be making other guest appearances on the show.
