Now, before anyone asks:
*
The V and Detroit 1-8-7 season finales have already aired.
* No Ordinary Family airs its season finale on April 5, while Mr. Sunshine and Off the Map wrap up their own freshman runs on April 6.
* The sitcom Happy Endings, which bows April 13, can be penciled in for a May 18 finale. Dana Delany’s Body of Proof, premiering March 29, is probably good for an early June finale.

    • Long gone by May, but I’ve added it (and NOF, and MR SUN) as a coda.

    • Glee is not an ABC show. However, its finale will air May 24.

  • Mr. Sunshine is only airing 9 episodes?

Comment by A – March 22, 2011 10:59 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Yep! COUGAR TOWN returns from break Monday, April 18, then returns to its Wednesdays slot on April 20. (HAPPY ENDINGS fills the gap on April 13.)

      • Do you know what will happen with the extra episodes?

Comment by A – March 22, 2011 11:12 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • What extra episodes? If you’re talking about Mr. Sunshine, they only produced nine.

Comment by AlistairCrane – March 22, 2011 03:06 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
          • Oh, okay. Thanks!

            Comment by A – March 22, 2011 05:57 PM PDT
          • They actually produced 13. The remaining four will probably be attached to next season’s order (or burned off in the summer if the show is canceled).

  • No epically dramatic 2 hour Grey’s finale this year?

Comment by Oua – March 22, 2011 11:00 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • no :( probably because the musical episode, as kevin mckidd said, took the time it usually takes for 2 or 3 episodes. so they cut the season’s order by 2 episodes. hopefully next year is back to normal.

      • This highly promoted musical better be worth it in the end

  • I can’t believe ABC is scheduling their comedies on the finale of American Idol.

Also, why are they scheduling Better with You finale on May 11th, whereas, the other comedies are on May 25th? Makes no sense.

But I am extremely excited for the Hawaii episode for Cougar Town. Can’t wait.

  • Do finales airing before May appear on the Sweeps Scorecard???

Comment by CINDY – March 22, 2011 12:22 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • I’ve never even heard of “Better Than You.” I keep waiting for ABC to pull the plug on Desperate Housewives, the writing just keeps getting worse and worse. Didn’t realize I watched so few of their shows anyway – Castle, Sharks Tank and DWTS sometimes. They really need to come up with some creative shows – or taken over good ones that NBC has let go of, like Perfect Couples.

  • How can Happy Endings have a May 18th finale when they have 13 episodes to air, and the show doesn’t premier until April 13th?
ABC could I guess air two episodes at a time, but that’s really burning off episodes too quickly imo,
