TVLine Items: Housewives Vet Gets Hot, O.C. Stud Gets Pilot, and Other TV News to Know

Desperate Housewives alum Richard Burgi has been cast on Hot in Cleveland as… a conjoined twin?!

It’s true, says TV Guide Magazine, which reports that Burgi will play Timothy, a conjoined twin who goes on a blind date with a none-the-wiser Victoria (Wendie Malick). A pretty far stretch from the days of Wisteria Lane’s Karl, right?

Ready for more of today’s TV dish? Well…

The O.C. hottie Chris Carmack (you remember Luke, right?) has landed a part as a musician in the ABC pilot Grace, Deadline reports. Eric Roberts is already set to star in the network’s professional dance-based drama.

• Dr. Cox alert! John C. McGinley (Scrubs) has joined the ABC comedy pilot Smothered, per Deadline. McGinley will play one-half of a set of conjoined twins overbearing parents. Adam Arkin (Chicago Hope) is in final negotiations to join the series as well.

• A&E’s Breakout Kings scored huge ratings Sunday, making its success story even sweeter. Rescued by A&E after Fox passed on the pilot last May, Kings gave the network its best demo numbers ever.

Where the hell has Luke been? He redeemed himself on the OC at the end of season 1 then vanished from the pop culture landscape. Glad he’s back.
