24's Annie Wersching Cops Role In ABC Pilot

Get More: Casting News, News, Pilots

Annie Wersching, best known to TV fans for her run as 24 G-Woman Renee Walker, is flashing a badge again, as a police detective in the ABC pilot Partners, Deadline reports.

Penned by Criminal Minds‘ Ed Bernero, Partners revolves around two female detectives who secretly are sisters. Scottie Thompson (Trauma) plays Mattie, the rougher-riding of the two, while Wersching will play Jess.

Also cast in the pilot is Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (The Wire) as medical examiner “Dr. J” Joe Johnston.

Since wrapping up her run on 24, Wersching has kept busy, first with the August 2010 birth her first child, then with roles on CSI, NCIS and, most recently, No Ordinary Family.

  • Wersching on my television is welcome news indeed. Scottie Thompson, not so much (thanks, season four of NCIS.)

  • This may turn out to be a good show, but the concept sounds stupid.

  • I hope that show doesn’t dissapoint viewers because I love Annie and I used to be a 24 fan until they killed off her great character Renee Walker.
