Charlie Sheen Breaks His Silence, Thanks CBS and Two and a Half Men Cast For Support

In his first public words since entering rehab last week, Charlie Sheen is thanking CBS as well as the cast and crew of Two and a Half Men for their support.

Who Should Replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men?

“I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support I have received from so many people,” Sheen said in a statement.
”I want to say ‘thank-you’ to my fellow cast members, the crew of Two and a Half Men and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros., especially Les Moonves and Bruce Rosenblum for their concern and support.
And to my fans, your good wishes have touched me very much.
Like Errol Flynn, who had to put down his sword on occasion, I just want to say, ‘thank-you.'”

The length of Sheen’s medical leave remains a mystery, but it’s been speculated that he could be MIA from Men for at least three weeks.

  1. Jim says:

Oh please. An apology? How anyone can stand to watch this train wreck “act” week after week is beyond me. I find him completely reprehensible and now he’s apologizing for like the 3rd time in one year?

Get help Charlie and be sincere about it!

    • sadtroll says:

You have no idea how sincere he is, and since I doubt he impacts your life in anyway you finding him reprehensible is silly.

    • Linda says:

Did you even READ this Jim? It’s not an apology. Where do you see the word apologize? It’s a thank you. Geez!!

    • Dina Mura says:

Why dont we just leave Charlie Sheen alone, hey if I had that kind of money I would be off the wagon too. Lets all support him, I think he is great on his show. Keep up the good work Charlie !

  2. kaelendra says:

if he’s truly making an honest attempt 3 weeks is really the minimum prolly… sooner he’s back the more likely he’ll crash and burn again.

  3. fuzz says:

just rename show 1 and a half men and mom.
or have the half man become a whole man and call it two men and a mom.

  4. sara says:

I wish Charlie well. I hope this time works for him. What people need to understand is that addiction is a disease, you can’t just “go to rehab” and magically cured. It doesn’t work like that. Its a shame that his problems are so public.

  5. baj24 says:

I don’t understand all of the animosity towards Charlie Sheen. I admit that “Men” isn’t my cup of tea, but everything I have read inidicates that he is a consumate professional on the set and he doesn’t really owe anyone an apology IMO.

  7. Mike says:

I’d like an apology for the decade of bad TV. I guess I should go to Chuck Lorre for that one though.

  8. Andrew says:

    Charlie Sheen is disgusting.

The first thing he should’ve done was apologize to the cast, crew and CBS execs instead of flippantly thanking them for putting up with his BS and looking like a smarmy ass****, which at this point, is par for the course.

On top of that, he should also not hesitate to pay the salaries of each and every crew member that will be out of work for however long it takes him to get his s*** together.

I’m sure the other cast members will appreciate the extended break from dealing with his utter nonsense for the last eight years.

    • Linda says:

We don’t know that he hasn’t already apologized to them. Chances are he has, but an apology between a celebrity and executives and staff doesn’t always need to be made public to the world! Would YOU want to make an apology for your stupid lame a** behaviour to the world?? Nah, didn’t think so.

      • Andrew says:

I don’t need to, Linda, because I don’t engage in “stupid lame a** behavior,” like coking it up with porn stars and trashing hotel rooms just because I feel entitled and think I can get away with it. He’s not above the law, and maybe he doesn’t need to do it publicly, but how about at least stating that he HAS apologized to them in his press release?

  9. Brock says:

Alan, Jake, Herb, Berta, Rose, and Alan’s mother (her name escapes me) – they can carry the show.

He needs the rest of the season in rehab, not a few weeks. He needs a proper commitment and the summer to ensure he’s fine.

The show really SHOULD go on without him.

  10. pete says:

didn’t bother to read the article, but really had to comment, ARE WE SUPPOSED TO CARE? I mean after all this time, this spoiled addict continues to use, this shouldn’t amount to one line of newsprint..

  11. WB Norris says:

I applaud Charlie Sheen for making the effort. No one knows what he’s going through except for him. God speed!

  12. susela says:

I’d believe in his sincerity if this message had included an assurance that he would pay the cast and crew for the canceled episodes. Not everyone is making 2 million per episode; most people actually rely on their weekly paycheck. Sheen is so breathtakingly selfish. He is still not taking responsibility for the upheaval he has caused in the lives of the 300 people who work on that show.

  13. Dude ranch says:

    Charlie sheen is the man!!

  14. sundaylonepony says:

So his real life person has been gobbled up by his fictional ego maniac womanizing t.v.character. the machine created this demon image. Poor Charlie for thinking he is more than just a man. I think the show should go on. The script writers are excellent. Would it be
breach to hire a fill in. Why not shoot tryouts with different Charlie characters in episodes and let the audience vote on perfecto! I would love to see Adam Sandler do the part!!!!! The show must go on. We are addicted to its witty humor. The only sitcom I watch.
