Josh Henderson Saddles Up For New Dallas, Larry Hagman Now Officially On Board

Get More: Casting News, News

TNT’s Dallas pilot now has not one but two J.R.s on board.

Josh Henderson (Desperate Housewives) has landed one of the leads in the much anticipated reboot, Deadline reports, playing the elder J.R. Ewing’s son, John Ross.

Exclusive: Jordana Brewster Joins Dallas Reboot

Henderson joins Jordana Brewster, who late last week was cast as Elena, a cook’s daughter entangled in a love triangle with John Ross and Christopher, aka Bobby and Pam Ewing’s adopted son (still to be cast).

Also confirmed for TNT’s Dallas are the original series’ Larry Hagman (as J.R.), Linda Gray (reprising her role of J.R.’s ex, Sue Ellen) and Patrick Duffy (as younger Ewing brother Bobby.

  • Well he is a hottie! He isn’t much of an actor though or at least he wasn’t on Desperate Housewives. He is just a year or two younger than the character but that is splitting hairs. The funny thing is that he was born in Dallas, TX which is interesting as Larry Hagman was born in Ft. Worth, TX.

  • No that guy should play Christopher. His looks are more suited to that part. He looks like he could be Jeff Ferdays son

    • I agree that Josh Henderson should have been Christopher, not John Ross.

  • I agree also that Josh Henderson should be playing Christopher instead, and besides, they were both born in 1981.
