CBS Eyes Rules of Engagement, Mike & Molly to Fill Two and a Half Men Void

Following Friday’s announcement that Two and a Half Men production would halt due to Charlie Sheen entering rehab, CBS is making some scheduling moves to help the void feel a little less obvious.

This means more Rules of Engagement — and likely Mike & Molly — are headed your way.

While there has been no official statement from CBS or the series’ respective studios, sources close to the situation confirm to TVLine that two additional episodes of Rules have been ordered, changing the series’ episodic order from 24 to 26.

Who Should Sub for Charlie Sheen on Men?

The same can be said for CBS’ hit freshman series Mike & Molly, states The Hollywood Reporter. But our sources say nothing is set in stone just yet, and that the prospect of more M&M is still in the discussion phase.

However, it is important to note that neither of these shows should be classified as “replacements” for Sheen’s Two and a Half Men, due to the fact that their respective airdates have yet to be determined. It was also previously announced that Rules would move to Thursdays at 8:30pm, following the February 14th premiere of CBS’ new Monday night series, Mad Love.

I’m so done with Two and a Half Men! I’m fine if these shows, or really any show, replaces it!

  2. Mandy says:

I’m ok with it. Rule of Engagement is the most underated of CBS’s comedies yet it is hillarious. I am looking forward to the extra episodes!

  3. Brock says:

I’m glad they’re not just filling the void with reruns. I watch all three, so I’m psyched for more eps!

No extra How I Met Your Mother?

I never hear much rating news on M & M, my favorite new show of this year. Sounds like it is ready to sail into 2012. Yea!!
