Exclusive: Big Bang Theory Enlists Arrested Development's Jessica Walter!

It’s official: Jessica Walter’s career is on fire!

The inimitable Arrested Development matriarch, who is currently juggling her Archer voiceover duties with a starring role in the new TV Land sitcom Retired at 35, has booked a guest stint on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Walter will play Barbara Latham, a wealthy donor to the university whose upcoming grant to the science department may be contingent upon Leonard (Johnny Galecki) compromising his virtue.

The episode, slated to air in February, also features a guest turn by The West Wing‘s Josh Malina as university president Arlo Seibert, whose “one of the guys” attitude wears thin on Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Co.

  • Uh, sleep with Jessica Walter? Darn, the things university researchers have to do. Who cares if she makes a donation or not? I’ve had a crush on her since “Play Misty For Me”. Go for it, Leonard!

  • Shades of Two and a half men when Allan was propositioned by Cloris Leachmen’s character. She would give him his own franchise of Chiropractic centers if he slept with her.The result was somewhat predictable. Nothing new here, move along.

    The ‘Ether’ or
‘dynamic space fluidum’ or ‘bioplasmic energy’, whatever you want to
call it, permeates the universe, and it plays a key role in the
funtions of the human body as well as plants and animals.
The yoga tradition sometimes describes the chakras as lotuses and
assigns a certain number of petals to each one. This is simply a way
of describing the rate of vibration or frequency at a particular center.
The numbers of petals in each lotus can be likened to the lines of force
that each center radiates. The colors the chakras emit, absorb and
resonate with depend upon their speed of revolution, which varies with
each of us.Colors are just energy vibrating at differing frequencies,
some visible, some not. Therefore, looking at a color will tend to
produce a corresponding vibration to that color in us. A modern test of
human psychological and physiological reactions to color, The Luscher
Color Test (The book is at Waldenbook Stores!), is proving very helpfull
in pinpointing psychological causes of functional disturbances — disease.
This is also true of sound. Each chakra has an octave of sound connected
with it and will be affected by it. Chanting resonates the chakras,
rythmically harmonizing them with the cosmic sound current or AUM. This
brings experience of altered states of consciousness

  • I’m getting kind of sick of all the cameos on BBT. It seems like every episode they have to put some famous face in there to draw a crowd.
