FX Sets Season 2 Premiere Date For Justified

As we wade through the doldrums of winter TV (read: hiatuses and skating celebrities), any news regarding a quality scripted series is welcome. Well, look here, we’ve got some. FX has announced that Season 2 of Justified will premiere Wednesday, February 9, at 10/9c.

Based on the works of crime novelist Elmore Leonard, Justified stars Timothy Olyphant as Raylan Givens, a semi-disgraced Deputy U.S. Marshal who in Season 1 was led back to his hometown in Harlan County, Kentucky.

The series also stars Nick Searcy as Raylan’s longtime friend and boss, Chief Deputy Art Mullen; Jacob Pitts as Deputy Marshal Tim Gutterson; Erica Tazel as Deputy Marshal Rachel Brooks; Natalie Zea as Raylan’s ex-wife Winona Hawkins (aka Love Interest #1); and Joelle Carter as Ava Crowder (Love Interest #1). The Shield‘s Walton Goggins winningly brings the bad as Boyd Crowder, Raylan’s longtime adversary.

Joining the cast in recurring roles for Season 2 are Margo Martindale (Million Dollar Baby‘s mean mom), Jeremy Davies (Lost‘s Daniel Faraday), Joseph Lyle Taylor (100 Centre Street) and Brad William Henke (October Road). They all play members of the Bennett family, the biggest pot farmers in Eastern Kentucky — and the foes in a long-standing feud with Raylan’s family.
